Conrad and Wolfram arrive at their designated meeting place but when Gwendal and Yuuri aren't there they figure something must have happened and go searching for them. Wolfram wonders why he has to hide himself and Conrad tells him it's because he stands out and this country doesn't like mazoku very much. Wolfram is also feeling bad from amount of houjutsu in the area.
Gwendal and Yuuri are being transported somewhere in a cage. Gwendal wonders why Yuuri gets himself involved in everything and doesn't just leave thing to his subordinates or something. Yuuri tells him he's just doing things normally how he would do things even if he weren't king and that if he did something really wrong they would stop him. Gwendal is impressed and smiles.
The soldiers let them out and Gwendal and Yuuri are taken into a court house. Gwendal isn't feeling well because the walls are embedded with houseki emitting houjutsu. They continue to the court room where they are put to trial for being elopers and the judge tells Yuuri he must stab Gwendal to prove their bond isn't strong. Gwendal tells Yuuri to do it but he refuses. They try to leave but Gwendal is overcome by houjutsu. The soldiers move to hit Gwendal but Yuuri jumps in their way.
